The 2026 Australian Rod Building Challenge has again demonstrated the strength, creativity and craftsmanship within Australia’s custom rod-building community. Proudly supported by Fuji and Frogleys Offshore, the competition brought together experienced professionals and passionate amateur builders to showcase the skill and innovation found across the Australian rod-building industry.
This year’s competition highlighted the continued rise of new talent entering the craft and the exceptional standard being achieved by professional custom rod builders. Across both divisions, entrants demonstrated impressive design, component integration, threadwork, finish quality and presentation.
